This eight-acre, south-facing vineyard is planted in ancient marine sediment soils and farmed dry and own-rooted, producing naturally low yields and small berries with powerful tannins, concentration, and a brilliant backbone of acidity. A blend of 115, Pommard, and Wadenswil clones, each contributing their own character. We take a hands-off approach here, neither fining nor filtering, selecting only our favorite barrels each year to let the vineyard speak for itself.

The 2021 season was one of contrasts. Early warmth in April pushed bud break one to two weeks ahead of schedule, followed by temperature swings through spring and a late rain event around bloom that contributed to below-average yields. The season's defining moment came in late June when a historic heat dome brought three consecutive days of record-breaking temperatures across the Pacific Northwest. For established vineyards the timing ultimately proved manageable, and as harvest approached through August to October, temperatures cooled to ideal conditions, allowing the moderate crop to develop complex fresh fruit with retained acidity and focus.

Pairing and Serving Pairs well with roasted lamb, duck, mushroom dishes, and aged hard cheeses.
