Sierra Foothills, California · 100% Grenache · Dry · 750mL

Tasting Notes Dark Chocolate, Black Plum, Cherry

There is no other place on earth quite like Yosemite National Park. We've looked. From the towering granite monoliths and ancient sequoias to the winding waterways, this land is unlike anything else. It is where we chose to put down roots, literally. Located at 3,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada foothills, this land is home to our family and to our vineyard. The rocky, south-facing slope delivers plenty of California sun during the day and cool alpine temperatures at night, yielding fruit with surprising depth and character.

Low yields and the warm growing season produce a concentrated wine showing fruit and spice in equal measure, with an underlying suppleness of texture that is as alluring as the park for which Yosemite Cellars is named. The fruit was left on skins for color and texture extraction before pressing, then fermented cold to preserve aromatics and aged in French oak for 12 months.

Pairing and Serving Pairs well with grilled lamb, braised short ribs, roasted root vegetables, and aged hard cheeses. Serve at 60 to 65 degrees F. Drink now through 2027.
