Sierra Foothills, California · Dry · 750mL

Tasting Notes Ripe Plum, Leather, Violet

There is no other place on earth quite like Yosemite National Park. We've looked. From the towering granite monoliths and ancient sequoias to the winding waterways, this land is unlike anything else. It is where we chose to put down roots, literally. Located at 3,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada foothills, this land is home to our family and our vineyard, where grapes grown on a rocky south-facing slope are harvested by hand and nurtured to reveal their full character.

The 2023 season began cold with bud break running three to four weeks late, before a wet spring and a summer-like May brought the vines quickly back on track. A warm, dry summer led to a surprisingly early and compressed harvest, with all fruit in the door by mid-October. Both Tannat and Cabernet Franc were harvested September 19th, fermented separately, and aged 18 months in French oak before blending and a final month of integration in tank.

Bright and structured with dense berry flavor. A no-fuss, everyday red with real depth behind it.

Pairing and Serving Pairs well with grilled meats, hearty pasta, and aged cheeses. Serve at 60 to 65 degrees F. Drink now through 2028.
